She is the Founder of leadership consultancy The Maverick Paradox which specialises in Maverick Leadership, Influence, Lateral Thinking, and Emotional Awareness.

Specifically in the areas of leadership, change, culture and diversity, equity and inclusion.


A leadership thought leader, she has written The Maverick Paradox: The Secret Power Behind Successful Leaders, and provides Immersive 121 Mentoring to ambitious leaders and business owners.

She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and holds a MBA PgDip. Her background as Head of HR with Director Level responsibilities across a number of Industries and sectors as well as strategic responsibility for operations, equips her as a Leadership and Business Mentor.

Judith is a mentor, consultant, speaker and the Leading Authority on Maverick Leadership, her expert opinion has been sought by radio, national and trade press.

The importance of influence

Ambitious leaders are influential because it enables them to achieve their goals and drive company growth.

My first senior role was at the age of 24, in an industry I had never worked in, in a profession I hadn't worked in before. I joined a large national retailer as Head of HR responsible for 2 sites and a thousand employees. Having never worked in HR, or managed people.

From that role, I was often the youngest, female or person of colour on the senior team. It was important to be able to influence with and without direct authority.

Over the years I have realised that there are 4 essential components of influence:
